Transportation Safety

The transportation of people and goods are the lifeblood of our everyday economy. Businesses are tasked with not only meeting their deadlines, but doing so in a safe manner. PureSafety's curriculum targets the most common training requirements required by the Department of Transportation. Courses ranging from "DOT Driver Compliance" to "Extreme Driving Conditions" can help you ensure that training program is heading in the right direction.

15 Passenger Van Safety

A 15-passenger van behaves much differently from a passenger car. Most people do not know that these vans are more likely to roll over than any other type of vehicle. This course offers safe van-driving techniques that, if implemented, will drastically reduce the risk of injury or even death when driving a 15-passenger van.
Learning Objectives:
  • Differences between driving a 15-passenger van and driving a car
  • Effective driving preparation strategies to maximize safety
  • Safe van-driving techniques
  • Procedures to safely conclude a trip
Course Length:
36 min

Defensive Driving: Large Vehicles (Spanish)

Most vehicle accidents are actually the result of human error. If an error is made at the wrong moment, an accident or collision will result. A consistent, defensive approach to driving is the best way to reduce the likelihood of driver error. The goal of this course is simple: to provide drivers of large vehicles with the knowledge and safe driving techniques they need to prevent collisions and violations.
Learning Objectives:
  • Characteristics of defensive drivers
  • Major causes of traffic accidents
  • What you can do to control your vehicle as you drive
  • Actions to take to remain in control of yourself as you drive
