Nashville, TN, January 13, 2009—PureSafety, provider of the industry’s most comprehensive, easy-to-use suite of training, safety, medical and risk management software solutions, has expanded its content development capabilities by hiring Alicia Hinson as a Certified Spanish Translator and Translations Project Manager. Hinson joins PureSafety’s growing team of over 25 talented content development experts based in Nashville, Tennessee and Westbank, British Columbia, Canada. According to Alex Melendez, PureSafety’s Director of Content Development, Hinson has worked with PureSafety independently for several years, and is a primary reason that over 170 of the company’s online Environmental, Health and Safety and Human Resources courses are available in Spanish. He said she will continue to work with PureSafety Subject Matter Experts to complete translation of the company’s industry-leading course library, software solutions and other materials into Spanish. But, he emphasized, hiring Hinson is also part of a larger, ongoing commitment to empower the company’s growing base of customers who have multilingual workforces. “We already offer many courses in a range of European, Asian and South American languages, and as Translations Project Manager, Alicia will help us continually expand our multilingual offering to keep pace with customer needs,” he said. Melendez added that in-house translation resources are also a competitive advantage. “Outsourcing translation is a common practice in our industry,” he explained. “But with the increasing demand for our software and off-the-shelf and custom courses in multiple languages, expanding our in-house translation capabilities will be more efficient for us, and most importantly, more convenient and cost-effective for our customers.” Hinson, who has also done Spanish voiceover work on national advertising campaigns, said PureSafety’s commitment to multilingual training and software was just one of many factors that made a full-time position attractive. “Having worked with PureSafety in the past, I’ve seen firsthand that this is an extraordinary, service-focused culture,” she said. “It’s very exciting to join a market leader that’s not only growing in terms of sales, but is genuinely dedicated to expanding and improving what it offers to its customers.”
