Pure Commitment. Pure Community.

Born in response to a workplace fatality, PureSafety has always been committed to answering the question, "How can we do more?" That commitment doesn't just apply to empowering our customers to more efficiently and effectively manage workplace safety and health risks while improving business performance. As a purpose-driven organization dedicated to making a difference in people's lives, we are also committed to doing more to improve our communities, empower those doing good work, and be an industry leader in social responsibility. We fulfill that commitment with donations and volunteer work, by serving on boards and advisory committees, and through many other corporate and individual actions.

In recent years, our most extensive community outreach initiatives have included:

Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness by inviting people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need. Habitat has built more than 350,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1.75 million people with safe, decent, affordable shelter. For four years, PureSafety has provided free online safety training to Habitat volunteers working on Whirlpool® Building Blocks projects in Nashville (2006), Phoenix (2007), Dallas (2008) and Atlanta (2009). PureSafety also offers a dedicated training website for its local Habit chapter in Nashville, and employees regularly volunteer their time and resources to support area building projects.
Future Leaders in EHS Future Leaders in EHS is an ambitious program to support and encourage EHS students as they respond to the challenges of the 21st century workplace and lead the way in keeping tomorrow's workers safe, healthy and on the job. Created by PureSafety and EHS Today, the leading publication for environmental, health and safety (EHS) professionals, Future Leaders includes a scholarship fund for outstanding students in EHS-related programs. PureSafety also gives each winning student's school one year of free access to our workforce safety and health solutions. Future Leaders is the most formal aspect of PureSafety's longstanding university outreach and commitment to help students understand how technology can empower EHS professionals. Our safety, health and risk management professionals also contribute time and expertise to educate and mentor students, and we have provided software and information solutions to numerous programs throughout the country.
America's Safest Companies America's Safest Companies is a corporate recognition program honoring the safest companies in the United States. The program is run by EHS Today, the leading publication for environmental, health and safety (EHS) professionals. PureSafety has been a proud co-sponsor of this program since 2004.
ALS Association The ALS Association leads the fight to cure and treat Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) through global, cutting-edge research, and empowers people with Lou Gehrig's Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing compassionate care and support. PureSafety has a personal connection to ALS. A former key member of our management team, Todd Kinnane, currently suffers from this fatal neuromuscular disease. PureSafety has been heavily involved with the ALS Association Tennessee Chapter since Todd was diagnosed in 2006, including significant participation and fundraising around The Walk to Defeat ALS®, the association's national signature event. Bill Grana, PureSafety's President and CEO, joined the Tennessee Chapter's Board of Directors in 2008. As of year-end 2009, PureSafety and our employees, families and friends have raised over $40,000 to help defeat ALS.
Campus for Human Development is a Nashville-based coalition of over 100 churches and synagogues that provide shelter and related programs to help the homeless. PureSafety currently provides online safety and human resources training to the organization's staff and volunteers.
